How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My work consists of unique functional household items which have a connection with the beautiful countryside that surrounds us. Each of my pieces has a personal touch which I hope reflects my enthusiasm and love that I have for creative artwork.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

For me, being an artist enables me to be able to express my creativity and share my enthusiasm with others.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am Becky from Millikin Ceramics. I love to work primarily with stoneware clays, creating one off pieces for your home and garden. I use a variety of methods to suit the piece I am working on. I enjoy every part of the process and spend a lot of time creating the glazes that I want, which I feel will complement my work to its best.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

As well as creating and selling my own work, I love to teach classes, and workshops.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

After studying at Hereford Art College, I studied for a few years at the North East Wales Institute. My knowledge has grown through years of experience working with both the clay and all the raw materials that are used to create the glazes that I use to decorate my work.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years:

The Old Mayors Parlour. Hereford

Your gallery outlets/stockists:
