How would you describe the work you do and why?:
One off functional and decorative stoneware - both useful and pretty around the home. I do it because I love making things - but particularly things that can be used and loved and will last.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Being relatively new to the art of pottery, I don't really describe myself as an artist - but it is a joy and an inspiration - learning all the time, challenging myself and losing myself for hours in my work. It can be rewarding, frustrating but always fun and I can't wait every day to get back to my little studio! I just want to get better and better and some day be able to make more complex larger pieces which only experience, practice and time can achieve.
