How would you describe the work you do and why?:

Working in oils my work mostly depicts local landscapes, including The Malvern Hills and surrounding area. I am naturally attracted to the lighter moods of the hills, from the Spring light found in Bluebell woods, to high summer on the ridge line. From the drama of The British camp to the gentleness of the meadows and fields below. My paintings also include subjects as diverse as the Greek and Welsh landscapes. In contrast to my oil paintings I also work on a small number of pencil sketches.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Since childhood I have always enjoyed sketching ,drawing and painting. These days I am able to lose myself in my studio, creating paintings and sketches of scenes that inspire me.
