How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I have spent most of my life ilusrating childrens books. But in recent years, I've enjoyed changing paper for ceramics. I love the three dimensional quality of the medium.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

I find painting emotionally satisfying and love creating unique pieces of artwork for individual commissions. I especially enjoy hand-lettering onto china/porcelain.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

Illustrator/China painter/decorator

Studied at Cheltenham College of Art (Pre Diploma Course) 1967-68
Leicester College of Art (Dip AD Course) 1968-1971 Gained BA in Art and Design.
Worked in Advertising Agency in London (Masius Wynne-Williams/Maspar Services) 1971-1973
Freelanced Illustration work mainly for Educational books (ie Ladybird, Lion Publishing, Holmes McDougall,Ward Lock, Scripture Union,Inter Varsity Press.)

Exhibitions in the last 3 years: 

I have exhibited in 'h.Art' for the last 5 years.
Also in Chipping Campden, CourtBarn Museum, Glos., 'Spring Delights' 2018
Bishops Palace, Hereford
