How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

My watercolour collection of pebble paintings is painted in a loose style, and inspired by my love of beaches, rockpools, pebbles and streams.
The detailed areas with misty edges hopefully conveys the same feelings of reflective calm that I feel when I paint them.
My acrylics are bright but also subtle, and my pen and ink drawings (mainly town/cityscapes) are detailed.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

I am excited by the way watercolour plays, and lets you know where it wants to go and what it wants to be. I delight in the bold brightness of acrylics, and the way the colours flow and blend, and I love the concentration required for my pen and ink work.
Painting and drawing give me immense pleasure, I get lost in a world of my own.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

Watercolour, Acrylic, and pen and ink artist.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice: 

I am mainly self-taught. I have always been creative, but became more focused in creating art fairly recently when I started attending art classes in 2017.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years: 

I exhibited at Warehouse701 during H.art Christmas week in 2023, and will be exhibiting there again in September 2024.
