How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I focus on the abstract qualities of the world. I see my photographic images as 'found paintings', an organic fusing of human and nature. I am drawn to textures, layers and entropy. My images are of the abandoned, unvalued and unnoticed, the unusual and random in everyday life. I see beauty in decay, the abstract mark making of the weathering of time. I aim to convey pathos and loss with a sense of hope. I am drawn to the damaged and the strength of 'still standing' against the odds.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I am obsessed with taking photographs, I am always looking for images everywhere I go. I create new from old, permanent from temporary. I record and contain everyday life.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am a fine art photographer
