Details
I aim to express the beauty and interest of what I see in the world around me. For this exhibition, it will mainly be landscape. Through travel and exploration , I find the subject matter to inspire me, my interest chiefly being how the forms and textures of landscape are revealed by the shifts in light and atmosphere.
It means exploration, appreciation and perseverance.
I’m a figurative painter , specialising in portraits , landscape and still life . I work mainly in oils but also charcoal and pastel.
I teach from my studio in Isleworth and at plein air workshops.
I trained at the Charles Cecil studios, the London fine art studios and have taken workshops with a variety of master artists , including Donald Jurney, Stapleton Kearns and Ben Fenske.
