I would describe my work as functional domestic ware, inspired by the coastal colours and its surroundings including the wildlife that accumulate there.
being an artist means to me to express my new ideas on a three dimensional functional form. to expand my knowledge of pottery including the glazing and overall finish of the work.
I would describe myself as a potter who like learning new techniques and processes.
I wanted to keep some of the sculpture and included them onto the pottery in the form of sprigs and to expand my practice as a ceramic artist. I wanted to expand my knowledge in glaze technology and firing practice.
I do on occational run ceramic animal courses but I would like to run some pottery workshops in the future.
