How would you describe the work you do and why?:

As a hobby I create bags, purses and other accessories from leather and felt. I enjoy creating patterns and like using leather pieces and partial hides, wherever possible, that would have gone to waste. These unusual shaped pieces add challenge to the design and add to each unique piece.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Crafting is a means of relaxation, expression, exploration, creativity and innovation for me.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Creating in leather and textiles, are my passions. ‘Hide and Fleece’ evolved from this love of textiles and leather.
