How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I create designs from my drawings which I have translated into batik and now onto handprinted paper collage. I take commissions in sandblasted glass.
My starting point always comes from observation and drawing. I'm always trying to lighten my carbon footprint whilst wanting to share my love of the wildlife around us. You will find coastal birds, garden birds, butterflies, wild flowers and more in my work, I have an eye for detail and love colour - it might be a sandblasted pieces of glass for your home or a lampshade.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

It's a vocation and something I'm very grateful for, being able to make a living with my creative skills.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I'm a visual artist inspired by the natural world, with a passion for learning new mediums from sandlasted glass, batik to hand painted paper collage, and tetra pack printmaking. My designs are sold on greeting cards, lampshades and prints.
