How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My work is usually functional and decorative, I take inspiration from the world around me, whether it is in nature or from architecture.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I use art as a way to express myself as I feel other ways are inadequate and art conveys my true self, most effectively.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am a predominantly a ceramicist, and use varying techniques for my practice. These include throwing forms, press moulding and slab building. I enjoy using different bodies of clay from stoneware to porcelain.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I am currently engaged as a full time BA honours student doing a Contemporary Design Crafts degree.
