Details
How would you describe the work you do and why?
Evocative work reflective of personal journeys and narratives rather than exact renditions of a place or time.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
It forms the protective barrier between me and what I want to express and the world around me . It helps soothe my very active imagination within a practice I can lose myself.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I am primarily a painter with an interest in abstracting the landscape through using layered compositions, textures and strong colour ways.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
Daily walks and ideas hastily recorded, painting whenever time and the pulls of life allow. Recent and near future workshops 2025/26 include ongoing projects facilitating refugee week for Knighton School of Sanctuary, permanent river mural on ecological water changes, a mural on importance of place, upcoming mural installation "Everyone is Important "and redesigning the library as a magical wonderland with props and backdrops.
