How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I collect discarded pieces of wood from gardens and farms and transform them into sculpture. My art is inspired by the natural shape of the wood and the environment from which it comes.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Wood is a fantastic medium and each piece provides an opportunity to create a unique piece with its own statement. My wood working allows me to sculpt what I feel is the spirit of the tree.

White’s Wood - wood carving and sculpture
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
Wood sculpting. No teaching at this stage.
CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:
I have worked with wood my entire life, in so many ways: from cabinetry, to restoring wood on vintage automobiles to furniture making and more recently to sculpture.
