Details
I make enamel pictures, bowls, brooches and earrrings. All of my work is on a base of copper and I create the design with powdered glass which is then fired. Several layers of glass powder can be applied so some peices are fired several times.
My pictures are inspired by nature, either trees , flowers or seedheads. I am also inspiered by stunning landscapes or seascapes and create vibrant pictures of these scenes.
I am passionate about my work and get a real buzz from creating . The joy of enamelling is the unpredictabilaty of the final piece.
Enamelling is my life and it's when I am at my happiest.
I have been a professional enamel artist for nearly twelve years.
I have put workshops on hold at the moment as I have been accepted to exhibit at Wisley, Hever Castle and Hyde Hall this year so I am busy creating new work.
