How would you describe the work you do and why?

I make terracotta garden pots for our climate in Britain. My stoneware ceramics are practical and sometimes sculptural.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I have made my living from Pottery all of my working life.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Potter and ceramicist

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I take my demonstrations of throwing big ware to Potteries. The B&W photograph was taken in Brittany last year, I often demonstrate for CUP Hereford and this year I am demonstrating at Cabalva near Hay.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

I trained as a potter in the Pottery Village of La Borne France and worked for thirty years as a big ware thrower at Whichford Pottery .

I sell my terracotta exclusively from my pottery.
