How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I use a variety of media in my work, but is always inspired by the natural environment. Currently I am exploring ceramics and paper and how the textures that can be created using the two media can mimic those of nature.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I use my art as a way of expressing my love of nature and how essential it is to who I am. Nature makes me want to create, to recreate, to delve deep and investigate, and then to present it the way I see it.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

My work is based around nature, inspired by observation and the desire to represent my subject in a medium which gives a sense of it's essence. It is a meditative process, which helps me to feel connected with my environment and the wonder I encounter there.
