How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I have always been fascinated by the natural world and the beautiful shapes and colours produced by nature. Using clay I reinterpret the leaves, flowers, buds and seed heads in two dimensional pictures. Using gold, copper and silver metal leaf they have an iridescent quality, the colours changing in different lights. My ceramic pots, bowls and vases are mainly based on organic shapes and are glazed in various different colours and colour combinations. Some are purely decorative and others are of a more practical nature. Every piece is unique.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

It gives me so much pleasure being able to created something which other people love and value and which I myself enjoy creating.
