Details

How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I am a multimedia artist working across the range of materials from traditional to natural such as dried flowers. . I studied textiles at Sheffield, when on to teach before working at a craft pottery. I find inspiration in the world around me and get satisfaction from upcycling materials.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

Being an artist means seeing inspiration in the smallest flower and the concrete jungle and the wonder of everyday things.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I taught textiles before a career change and have since run the occasional workshop.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice: 

I studied textiles for 3 years and covered a range of skills including sowing, weaving, printing, dying and collage.
