How would you describe the work you do and why?:

Mostly floral pictures, which are then sold as original work or digitally printed as prints, greetings cards, or scarves.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I have been fortunate enough to make a living from something that I really enjoy doing.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am a practising Textile 'Artist'.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I exhibit my work at Craft and or Garden Shows. I don't do workshops or any teaching.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

I learnt the technique of Batik whilst doing my Art Foundation course - it was something where I could use my interest in drawing and colour in a way that, to me, was more interesting than more traditional painting, always having a surprise element beyond my control.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years:

I have had a stand at Chelsea Flower Show each year since 2007, I also exhibit at Hampton Court Flower Show and the Craft in Focus shows at Wisley.

Your gallery outlets/stockists:

Since Covid my sales have been through my website, however we do plan to do maybe 3 shows a year, plus of course h.Art.
