How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I create joyful lampshades that bring colour and light into dark corners of your home. Each is designed and handcrafted either with layers of plant-fibre papers or handprinted linocuts. I also have a range of appliqued vintage OS map shades.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I love creating authentic products, by hand that are beautiful as well as functional and bring joy to their owners.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I'm a contemporary lampshade maker, printmaker and surface pattern designer.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I don't teach or run workshops but do take on commissions for customised shades and create surface patterns available for licensing.

Your gallery outlets/stockists:

I'm a member of the Worcestershire Guild - Contemporary Craft and exhibit with them at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival in May each year.

In 2024 I'll be exhibiting in Malvern's Iapetus Shell Gallery 23-27 April, RHS Malvern 9-12 May, opening my own studio in Hanley Swan for h.Art 7-15 September and in Ledbury's Weavers Gallery in December.

My lamps and shades can be purchased year round from my online shop on my website.
