How would you describe the work you do and why?
My work reflects my obsession with the colours and textures of the natural world. In particular the effect of light on the landscape.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Being an artist enables me to express my vision of the world around me, and helps me understand that vision.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
Essentially I am a painter of landscapes in a range of media.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I have worked as an artist for the last fifty five years in both traditional painting and drawing but also in the applied arts. In addition to my painting practice
I regularly give demonstrations and run workshops in a number of locations throughout the UK .

I studied design and illustration in Aberdeen in the early seventies.
