How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My work is still evolving and taking me down different paths of interest.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

It means being able to create. This has always been important. To take a thought, to manipulate the clay and then to share that creation with others.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Sue Flynn Ceramics. I work with clay, predominately stoneware, to produce both functional and sculptural ceramics.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I work on my own but like to collaborate and interact with other artists.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

BA Art & Design. This generalist degree was indicative of my horror of being restricted in my creativity. However I didn’t experience clay until I began at Wobage Pottery under the brilliant Jeremy Steward. This was followed by Cup Community Ceramics in Hereford.

Exhibitions in the last 3 years:

Cup Ceramics September Exhibition 2021
