How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I draw and photograph to catch memories of the light, colour, forms and atmospheric qualities of favourite woodlands, hillsides and wild coastlines. I transform my sketchbook ideas into finished textiles and paintings, using a variety of media, including hand dyed silk papers, painted felts, machine stitch, and collage.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Art is an immensely important part of my life. Through my artworks in textiles and mixed media, I am free to express my abiding love of the natural world . Woodlands, special trees, wild shorelines, bluebell vistas, landscapes near and far, all feature in my sketchbooks and finished works.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Textiles and mixed media
