How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I like to work quickly, usually using thick paint but also collage, to cover a canvas as soon as possible. And then to go back and work in more depth, more layers. There is often a figure in the painting somewhere.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Freedom to experiment but also to do things my way and not conform.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
Since moving to the village of my ancestors over twenty years ago, I have enjoyed being part of a group of amateur artists who meet weekly to explore different ideas and mediums.
