How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My work is a vibrant expression of the beauty and stories found in nature. I capture the essence of changing seasons and intricate details, using rich and bold colours influenced by the textures of the natural world. My linocut prints aim to invite viewers into the ever-changing world of nature, each piece telling a unique story waiting to be discovered.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

To me, being an artist as both a printmaker and painter is a profound commitment to translating the world's beauty and complexity onto the canvas and linoleum. It's about more than just creating aesthetically pleasing images; it's about capturing the essence of existence itself. As I delicately carve linoleum or apply paint to a surface, I am engaging in a dialogue with the nature, interpreting its myriad stories and emotions through colour, texture, and form. It's a responsibility I hold dear—to distill the essence of life into tangible works of art that resonate with others, inviting them to pause, reflect, and find their own connections within the brushstrokes and carved lines.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I identify myself as a painter- printmaker, specialising in linocut prints that draw inspiration from the natural world, particularly the landscapes surrounding Malvern Hills.

While I do conduct very limited workshops with small numbers, my primary focus remains on creating my own art. I find fulfilment in sharing my passion through these workshops but dedicate the majority of my time and energy to my personal artistic endeavours.
