How would you describe the work you do and why?:

My stoneware ceramics are in local galleries , I tend to make a collection for a show which will range from small bowls, bottles , large chargers sculped vessels and Unomi's.
I make my own glazes from the hedge clippings and coppice on my farm , collecting the fly ash and soaking it over a period of a year.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I designed and built my studio on Castle hill for good light and warmth with a place to work, dry and fire . I sell my garden Terracotta from my stock yard and tend to put my stoneware out through Galleries see below.
I make a range of sizes and am happy to work to commission.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I trained as a potter in La Borne France in the 1970's. I worked for Whichford Pottery in Warwickshire for thirty years as their 'big ware thrower'. I have always maintained my own pottery studio on the Welsh Marches where I continue to make large terracotta garden pots to order and always have a variety of classic shapes in stock .

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I make my own pottery and ceramics in my studio. Where I blend the clays , throw the pots and fire in my kilns.
