How would you describe the work you do and why?:

As well as a wide variety of designs that can be viewed on my Instagram page and ordered via email. I also accept commissions for unique, bespoke pieces of jewellery and personalised designs.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Expressing myself through my chosen media whilst designing meaningful lasting objects made to be worn and treasured.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am an artist and jeweller, working predominately with recycled sterling silver to create unique jewellery inspired by intriguing aesthetics I encounter daily. My sources of inspiration stem from my urban environment, which I abstract from their original, intended meaning. I work intuitively with the metal by collaging, fusing, engraving and adding texture.

I come from a fine art background, specialising in creating sculptural objects and mixed-media assemblage in both 2D & 3D, which translates into the visual qualities of my jewellery.

I’ve always used painting as a way to initially realise the shapes and marks that have inspired me. These painting then influence the forms I create into the jewellery, as well as the sculptural display. I’ve decided to show a selection of these paintings alongside the wearable objects this year.
