It was the move to Herefordshire from London with my husband in 2009 which rekindled my lost love of drawing and painting.
Many years ago I had studied textile design, and then embroidery, before being forced to abandon both to earn money for university fees for our three daughters.
Now at my leisure in Herefordshire I can fling myself into gardening and art. I am an enthusiastic gardener, and I find that things happen by accident. That is my approach to art: nothing works the same way twice. How did I do that?
Having always avoided the challenge of landscape, I suddenly find myself looking further and wider, and gaining inspiration not only from my garden, but from the Herefordshire countryside, particularly the woods around Lyonshall.
