How would you describe the work you do and why?

My primary focus is writing and illustrating children's books by my work aims to bring a smile and to wake up the inner child in all of us.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I have always been 100% creative and have been lucky to be able to follow this path my whole life. That has been in music and now with writing and illustration. To be an artist is a privilege and I feel very lucky to keep dreaming and keep creating.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

I am a children's book author and illustrator that is inspired by love, kindness and nature. I work in several mediums - pencil, dip pen, lino printing, watercolour and digital printing.

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

I write and illustrate children's books. My debut book 'Castle Rock' will be available at this years' H Art - and I'm very excited about it!

I make bespoke illustrations, usually in a series of different studies. This can be either in pencil and dip pen, lino printing or watercolour. My current series will be available at this years' H Art.

I teach in primary schools and hope to inspire young artists to create by giving them some stepping stones to help start their journey - I will be running some workshops at Sorrel & Sage this year on both Saturdays and Sundays of the H Art Week - contact Hannah at Sorrel & Sage for more details

I also make a lot of private commissions which I absolutely love doing! This is often telling a story about a family, or a person or a celebration and is very much one of the highlights of what I do. I am always open to new commissions and new work.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice:

Spending a silly amount of time outdoors and noticing the small things in life.
I am a big believer in the 10,000 hours theory
