How would you describe the work you do and why?:
I started to work with Silk in 2002 when I saw how vibrant the dye colours can be on silk. Over the years I have worked using many different techniques to create my artwork from Gutta techniques to Wax Batik thru to Japanese Arashi Shibori and Eco Dye. My inspiration is from nature and my artwork unites my love of textiles, light and colour.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
For me being an artist is about creative flair and being able to transfer my visions into actual pieces of work. The fulfillment often arrives from my blending my creative drive and joy of working with nature.
