Love of travel and my interest in arial photography and abstract landscapes leads to an appreciation of what is around you and enjoying the simple things in life. I currently love exploring the fluidity and life of paint to represent abstract aerial landscapes.
“Modern art = I could do that + yeah, but you didn’t”
Encouraging others to have a go and bringing a smile to faces - that is the joy art can bring.
I have recently achieved the time and dedicated space I need to explore my own inner creativity. I love a mixed media approach on canvas and board. I focus on colour and mark making and application of other materials in an abstract form that raise environmental issues or simply focuses on a happy place that may raise a question, a memory or a smile!
Teaching young people anything is possible. 30 years of teaching product design. Design and technology specialist that loves the abstract and colour that promotes discussion and a change in mood.
My background is in 3D design completing a Design & Technology degree, including technical graphics. This lead to 30 years in education promoting design and creativity within children aged 5 to 18. With a love of photography, Menorca and the effects of colour on the mood and well-being of individuals. My abstract work currently explores the fluidity in life to create pieces that inflict memories and happiness that brings interest and interpretation over time.
With only recently moved to Herefordshire, I am looking for outlets to build relationships with. This year I will be exhibiting at The Lion Ballroom, Leominster.
