The Artists' Gallery
The Artists' Gallery is a cooperatively ran gallery space shared by eight local artists. The ethos of the gallery is to champion the individual artists, enabling them to show their work directly to the public and use the strength of their community to manage a fantastic creative business. Shelly Perkins' digital prints showcase wildlife from both rural Britain and beyond. Priscilla Hann is a bronze sculptor, her intricate pieces capture the essence of her subjects which range from race horses to dung beetles. Danielle Flowers handcrafts contemporary turned home décor and jewellery, utilising sustainably felled wood from the Shropshire landscape. Megan Evans creates 'rubbish' art, collecting litter from the natural landscape and using it to create her collagraph prints. Jan Jay is a textile designer creating hand printed textiles for soft furnishings as well as framed prints. Pip Jones enjoys working in watercolour and mixed media. Her paintings are a celebration of British landscapes. Sarah Billingham creates wheel thrown pots using white earthenware clay, decorated using various techniques including painting, sponging and sgraffito. Wood turner Kim Davis creates vessels and objects that have clean, calm lines, inspired by the intrinsic beauty of wood. The eight resident members are joined by visiting jeweller Laura Jayne of Small Dog Silver for hArt.
