The Black Hill 11.2020
Info
How do you describe your Gallery?:
The gallery at Cabalva Farmhouse shows occasional exhibitions throughout the year and is located on a working farm near Hay-on-Wye and overlooking the River Wye and the Black Mountains.
Do you specialise in any particular artform or craft?:
Painting and sculpture
What's important to you when you choose whose work to exhibit and sell?:
My goal is to bring artists together whose works both complement each other and celebrate the earth.
What's coming up this year?:
Artist Phillip Hughes' Black Hill Diaries is a collection of works created during lockdown; Sally Matthews creates animals in response to the architecture and landscape; and Aragorn Dick-Read's outdoor fiery sculptures are inspired by tribal design.
Your notable exhibitions in the last few years:
Sally Matthews has exhibited hound dogs loping up the stairs, a striking steel zebra standing on the lawn, and a Hereford bull made of steel, bracken and feathers in a shed.
