Info
How do you describe your Gallery?:
Together with our artists' studios our gallery exhibits works by local artists throughout the year and participates in local celebrations and events to help promote the cultural life of the city and county. The gallery is also a base for Framework Herefordshire, a support network for young and emerging artists which encourages peer support and exhibition opportunities to develop personal practice and curatorial skills.
Do you specialise in any particular artform or craft?:
We specialise in many artforms including painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, textiles and much more. We also offer poetry and music events and promote collaborative working by artists across a range of genre.
What's important to you when you choose whose work to exhibit and sell?:
We like to encourage artists who wish to exhibit their work to develop their craft and understanding of how their work is received by a public audience. While sales of work are promoted we feel work should be made available for visitors to appreciate and enjoy even if not for sale.
What's coming up this year?:
We regularly participate in local celebrations which in 2022 includes the Hereford Three Choirs Festival. We are also working in collaboration with Herefordshire Wildlife Trust to celebrate the conservation and improvement of our wild areas entitled 'Wilder Hereford' and is focusing on Hereford City nature reserves. Our h.Art exhibition will run from 17th August to 11th September 2022 and will feature our studio artists both in the gallery and as open studios.
