Details

How would you describe the work you do and why?

I would call it drawing and painting. A love of beauty, a love of life, the masculine and feminine, humanity. In the mystery and divinity of being one can only find awe and fascination, in all things, and beyond nature, art appears as the only meaningful act in unthinkable eternity.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

It means the natural creativity and imagination inherent in all people is cultivated, not destroyed. It means a person prioritises the heart, not the perceived wants of others. It means looking at all things afresh, and moving from that, which is openness, not belief, and presenting that in form. I hope for man to think for himself, and I hope for myself the same, and for this to be known.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

A search for nature, to let the hand move by its own innate beauty, and in doing so, for beauty to be born from nothing, with nothing to do with my person, yet somehow born from a personal desire, and altogether human.
