How would you describe the work you do and why?
I combine my love of throwing pots with my earlier training as a sculptor. I produce a wide variety of brightly coloured functional pottery, which include bowls, mugs, jugs and vases. I also produce a range of sculptural pieces for the garden including my Green man range, totem poles, birdbaths and plaques depicting British wildlife, my love of which inspires much of my work. All my domestic ware is dishwasher safe and my sculptures are frost proof.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
I love using clay as a medium. Taking clay from a bag and transforming it into something beautiful which can be functional or decorative is very satisfying.
