Details
How would you describe the work you do and why?
I work in an expressive style, applying the oil paint with a pallet knife. Marks, textures, and colours are integral in how I respond to the character and dynamics of the subject.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
For me, being an artist is to be on a journey. It is to explore the experience of being alive by looking at and interpreting the things that inspire me in daily life.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
I am a painter of the things that I love: plants - flowers and fruits etc, and other things I come across in daily life. I work in oil on linen.
