How would you describe the work you do and why?

Martine is a mixed media artist inspired by colour, form and texture and is predominantly process lead. She likes to find balance within what she chooses to control and where the materials take her. Her work often explores abstract landscapes, sometimes as a direct response to what she sees around her and sometimes her palette becomes highly saturated and evocative of a purely emotional response.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

The need to create is a constant, whether it is witnessed by others or not. It’s a way of processing the world around me and how I move through it.
