How would you describe the work you do and why?
Painting and drawing from direct observation in the landscape, then taking these visual field notes and making work in the studio from memory using loose, intuitive marks.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
I am searching for the essence in the land that I keep returning to and feel a deep connection of place.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
A Welsh Artist living and working in the Cambrian Mountains.
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I work from a studio in Rhayader.

Born in Machynlleth 1965. Studied Graphic Design and Printmaking at Camberwell School of Art. Worked as a Textile designer and later an Antique/textile dealer.
