How would you describe the work you do and why?
I have always had a love for wildlife and the landscape. I live on the English/Welsh border, on the Offa’s Dyke Path, a very scenic area frequented by walkers from all over the world. It is from this stunning location that I draw my inspiration, the flora and fauna within the landscape feature repeatedly in my work. I only use natural and environmentally friendly materials, the papers I use are handmade specialist printmaking papers using natural cotton fibres and my inks are non-toxic. Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you enjoy looking at my work
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Art is a fundamental part of who I am. Art and my interest in nature, the landscape and the people therein have always played a big part in my life.
Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:
Hello, my name is Debbie, I trained at Bournemouth Art Institute, Dorset, England as a Natural History illustrator. In recent years I have fallen in love with printmaking, and enjoy creating hand pulled prints, on paper and fabric.
