The Lion Gallery

Description: 

'New Directions' shows four established makers whose work has developed by the use of new techniques, media or subject matter.Daniel Griffiths, Helen Vine, Rowan McOnegal and Nicola Haigh . DanielGriffiths has moved away from forged sculpture and is developing new work in cast metal. Glass artist Rowan McOnegal now works in traditional Japanese woodcut printmaking. Nicola Haigh has extended her batik skills to produce larger pieces incorporating mixed media techniques. Helen Vine,well known for her architecturally inspired work has explored the natural world for this exhibition. Some emphasis will be made on the techniques involved relating to the work shown.
