Jenny Pearce-Sarah Walker
Sarah creates lampshades from appliquéd paper - a range from vintage OS maps and another from colourful plant-fibre papers with stitched and handcut patterns. New at h.Art this year are lamps featuring her linocut prints. On display will be a variety of table lamps (including her distinctive half lamps), half wall shades, drum shades and a floor lamp. Sarah is happy to make to commission and has a portfolio of designs from which you can choose and a comprehensive website www.artshades.co.uk
She is a member of the Worcestershire Guild – Contemporary Craft and exhibits with them at the RHS Malvern show in May each year. She has taken part in h.Art for the past 10 years.
Jenny creates a range of colourful, textured baskets woven mostly with her home grown willow, supplemented with willow from the Somerset Levels. She is inspired by rugged nature, rocks and trees and likes to borrow from traditional Celtic and English Regional styles to develop contemporary baskets. During hArt week you will be able to see Jenny weaving in her workshop and also to take a stroll around her willowbed. She will have a range of beautiful, functional basket on display and also for sale. Jenny teaches regular basketmaking workshops and works to commission.
