Gordon Crosby: Art Potter
Gordon Crosby: Art of the Potter celebrates his extraordinary stoneware vessels & bowls. Limpid glazes, liquid shapes influenced by Japanese pots and abstract paintings. This exhibition is a memorial exhibition celebrating Gordon's amazing achievements as a potter during his lifetime, including solo shows at both Gallery Besson and Primavera Gallery.
Gordon's work is in major public collections in Britain and abroad. The exhibition concentrates on his smaller vessels which were influenced both by the reinvention of traditional Japanese pottery by potters including Hamada, and also the development of pottery sculpture by Peter Voulkos in America. All works are for sale.
