The Gallery at Eight

The Gallery at Eight is a brand new pop-up gallery, exhibiting contemporary paintings, drawings, and photography with framed work and prints available to purchase.

Sally McKenna is a BA (Hons) Fine Art graduate of Hereford College of Art. She practices from her home studio on the Welsh-Herefordshire border. Her disciplines include painting, printmaking, sculpture and textile printing. Her Welsh-Irish background informs her current work, with themes of luck, fortune, talismans, “mystic beasts” and folklore.

Honey McKenna is a multi-hyphenate creative currently based on the Welsh-Herefordshire border. Since graduating from Cardiff University, she worked as an event photographer and videographer for many years, including as press at events like Green Man Festival and the National Eisteddfod. As a fine art photographer, the themes she explores have been informed by her travels, ideas surrounding escapism, surrealism, and the concept of liminality or “the space between worlds”.
