The Basement shop, which is open all year round selling products for the home and garden, including old furniture and industrial lighting has opened its doors to these contemporary, inspiring Makers and Artists, who are strongly influenced by nature.
Gaby appreciates well-made, individual, beautiful interior products, slowly grown and designed to last. Creating her bespoke lampshades and cushions, Gaby offers you an entirely handmade product, carefully choosing the yarns, threading the loom, sewing and making the products, through to the finishing touches of adding the label.
Rhian is a young enthusiastic textile designer. All products are designed, hand woven, darned, washed and tentered by herself, using traditional techniques throughout. High quality yarn is sourced from the UK, creating truly British Luxury handmade throws.
Emma Smith Jewellery works with sterling silver, porcelain and glass enamel to create contemporary jewellery, which is wearable and fun. Due to the nature of the glazes, enamel and the firing process she uses, each piece is completely unique.
Alan Blethyn work falls into six categories; landscape; still life; illustration; abstract; graphics; and skyscapes. The majority is pastels, especially the landscapes and still life.
