How do you describe your Gallery?:
Located in the medieval market town of Leominster, Oxenham Art Gallery showcases a collection of contemporary art all sourced from around the British Isles. Owned and curated by Alice Oxenham, the daughter of painter Michael Oxenham and granddaughter to painter Patrick Oxenham and ceramic jewellery maker Judy Laws, the family have had galleries in The Cotswolds, The Wye Valley and Herefordshire. Through four generations, the family's history is something we feel proud of.
Do you specialise in any particular artform or craft?:
We specialise in original paintings but our collection includes a range of pottery and ceramics, textiles, jewellery, original prints, woodwork, metalwork and sculpture. We also have a comprehensive range of studio cards.
What's important to you when you choose whose work to exhibit and sell?:
We exhibit a diverse selection of professional work, to include a range of styles and subject matter, catering for all personal tastes.
What's coming up this year?:
We feature a different artist each month and try to include an artist or maker from each discipline throughout the year. We are currently developing a second show space that will be open to viewers by appointment only. This will showcase larger contemporary paintings suitable for the collector or discerning individual. We update our social media (Instagram and Facebook) on a daily basis so follow us @oxenhamart to be informed of upcoming events and exhibitions.
Your notable exhibitions in the last few years:
We have recently re-located our gallery to a much larger and brighter space. Keep an eye on our social media for up-coming shows and exhibitions.
