How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I concentrate on silversmithing work rather than jewellery. I like transforming silver into functional pieces using hammers to raise silver into a variety of objects. Occasionally I make very small things for the challenge of it and to give my arms a rest from hammering.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

To lose oneself into the process of creating something as near perfect as one can, which satisfies the mind.
If anyone else likes my work it is a bonus , but that is ultimately immaterial.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

Silversmith

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:

My colleague Debby Marsh and I run a studio/workshop called The Silver Workbench where we do our own work as well as run classes three days a week.
