How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I create lamps and lampshades from paper. I have three main ranges - colourful appliqued plant-fibre paper designs, handprinted linocut designs and reclaimed Ordnance Survey map shades made to order.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

I love the process of designing and making a functional product with integrity and authenticity. To be able to combine that with the exploration of colour, pattern, texture, handprinting and stitch to create something practical as well as beautiful, gives me endless pleasure and satisfaction.
