How would you describe the work you do and why?: 

I design patterns for textiles which are then made in to apparel. I enjoy painting and creating patterns from lots of inspirations either from travels or people and I take photographs all the time to use a references.

For you what does being an artist mean?: 

I enjoy painting and drawing and collaging and I will go through lots of processes before I take my work into digital.
I enjoy the freedom and the challenges of setting my own briefs. This can be quite hard when you are one person and have to be creative and motivated. I am always thrilled if one person buys a dress or a picture of mine and enjoy it. I love talking to people about my processes and always happy to share.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?: 

I am a Textile Designer

Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching: 

I have done a couple of workshops and talk at The Royal Grammar School, Worcester for the 6th Form Fashion. I have spoken a couple of times at local WI groups.

CV & Education, relevant & leading to your artistic practice: 

I graduated from Hereford College of Art with a BA Honours (1st Class) in Textile Design in 2017. I also did the Foundation Course at Hereford Art College

Exhibitions in the last 3 years: 

I exhibit most of the time at Apple Store Gallery and The Trumpet Gallery near Ledbury.

Your gallery outlets/stockists: 

I have a stall at The Malthouse Gallery in Stroud as lockdown stopped me being able to take part in Textile Fairs.
