How would you describe the work you do and why?:

I like words and common sayings and the ambiguity of accepted meanings. I try to consider these and present them as small fragments and textures that I try to turn around and consider from lots of facets. Repetition is also important to me, it seems to echo daily life and I often use repeating stitches and structures to reference this.

For you what does being an artist mean?:

Making things allows me to explore recurrent questions and make tangible internalised experiences.

Describe what you call yourself/your practice?:

My name is Sara, I am interested in textures and words that resonate with domesticity and all its quiet dramas.
